There is really nothing fancy going on here, just me. I have decided to start an oily blog. So many people are afraid of oils because of the cost, time involvement, and uncertainty. I'm not here to say that oils are for sure right for you, but I would love to teach people how to make oils fit into their life and their budget. I have spent a lot of time learning how to be oily on a budget. Recently I watched a Young Living spree cast about common personal hygiene items and how they contain ingredients that are toxic to our health. Who knew? Not me! I never thought that known toxins would be allowed as ingredients in items that we use all over our bodies and on our babies. To learn more about what I am talking about, here it is: http://www.spreecast.com/events/ditch-and-switch-in-2015
Now, as much as I love my oils, and love Young Living products, I simply can not afford to switch all of my household items over to these amazing products. I don't know many people who can afford it, to be honest. If you can, it definitely the way to go, if not, don't give up! You can be oily on a shoestring just like me. To help you out, I am determined to share at least one oily recipe a week. Last week, I made shampoo, hand sanitizer, mouth wash, face wash, and all purpose cleaner all in the course of 45 minutes. I have also discovered the joy of making my own bath soak and sugar scrub. Many of these home made items actually cost LESS than the commercial products at the store. With little people around, there is a definite advantage to cleaning with non-toxic cleaners and using non-toxic personal care products.
